It’s not awful to consider the anycubic Kobra X, takes a rather unique way of handling multicolour.

I’m personally using a qidi q2 combo, as I wanted multi colour and the ability to print ASA well… And not spending over 1k AUD.

A restaurant did this amazing tempura eggplant with a black vinegar caramel, and we saved the sauce for the icecream… It was very, very good.

My ex used to claim they could do X or Y task and I would make arrangements under the assumption they knew what they were talking about.

We’d get to the point they would need to utilise said skill, and they’d turn to me and say actually I thought I could wing it but I can’t, you’re going to have to do this now.

If I’d been told at the start that they didn’t know, I would have spent more time investigating the situation and upskilled myself in preparation. Instead, I’d ask “Do we have everything we need? Does this look good?”, get told it’s fine - and it wasn’t.

The lady in the article may well have deferred to his expertise when asking if she was adequately prepared, and trusted his judgement over a quick Dr Google search.

Scientifically, NTs distrust NDs for reasons they can’t really verbalise.

Hence, it is likely she is discriminating against NDs because of their disability. Whether or not discriminating against disabled people is a moral issue in her circles is a different question.

Yeah I discovered this when I went to print a frame stiffener mod and only had the parts to install half of it… was utterly confused as to why the prints were failing, then realised that what was happening.

Looks like a filament runout sensor, and there is a tiny tiny little bit of extra filament sticking out the top right. If the print had needed a little bit more filament, it would have pulled through the sensor and the machine would have reported it had run out of filament and paused the print.

Essentially flying really fucking close to the sun and somehow making it by the skin of their teeth.

Easy, pay someone $$$ to do it lol…

Less jokey, you do need reasonable microsoldering skills unfortunately.

In Australia I paid someone $150 to do mine including the pi chip.

That’s more than 5 minutes late if they were just driving in, probably takes at least another 10 minutes to park, unlock, turn on all the lights, get everything settled, etc.

I wouldn’t use them as a trainer, you’re paying them for the time and they’re not giving you the time.

Defrost in fridge, no other safe way to do it.

I cook from frozen all the time, but I use a sous vide stick in a cooler box (keeps the water insulated so less heat loss), then finish in the air fryer.

As far as making sure nothing is transmitting, you’re kind of screwed unless you are comfortable dismantling and identifying hardware as technically someone could install a chip that will phone home.

Software side you might see odd traffic coming from your laptop if you run a router that allows you to have such granular information.

About the only thing they’ve really embraced is electric motorcycles as they’re quiet.

It’s not specifically “the” bar, but the original comment was saying they didn’t see how Tesla would even be considered, and I felt this feature is one reason why someone may still consider a Tesla.

For me, my dash cameras have come in handy when my vehicle was running, but the hardwire mode has not been able to handle what I wanted it to. I want my next vehicle (whenever that may be) to be an improvement over what I already have. I have personally had my vehicles damaged more than once whilst it was parked, and I have always parked well. Sentry mode would have been very bloody useful to have the responsible parties pay up. Instead, I was left with a damaged car, which was notably rather heartbreaking when one incident occurred within the first month of ownership.

EDIT: My motorcycle was hit and if I hadn’t had known, I wouldn’t have been aware enough to take it to the shop to be inspected in case any of the internals had been damaged. Sometimes damage can be internal and without an alert, you would be putting yourself in danger.

I’ve had a Ford (mid range SUV) and a Toyota (base model sedan) which were both damaged whilst parked, and nobody left a note. Lots of people posting in the community groups about carpark damage and no notes being left, and no luck with local cameras.

So yes, it is needed.

I am unaware of any other EV that has sentry mode on the cameras like that on the Tesla. Would absolutely love to be proven wrong.

AFAIK Kia has a Korean only release EV6 that had it, but none of the other options utilise the whole suite of cameras to record.

Yeah I ran into these solutions but unfortunately I can’t seem to find any USB-CEC adapter other than the Pulse Eight, which doesn’t seem to ship to Australia in any economical manner.

I ended up getting a Flirc USB, couldn’t get the existing TV remote to work with that (once paired with the TV it stops sending IR signals, and the TV wouldn’t let me select the PC input as needing to activate the IR mode on the remote), ordered the Flirc Skip 1s… and now that’s working well enough we’re using the Skip1s as the primary remote for the TV as well. About 150AUD down the hole for this solution, and it’s not truly turning the PC off, but close enough!

We sold our PS and now have a gaming PC hooked up to the TV.

Been a few teething issues with convenience issues like being able to turn it on from the couch, but the experience has gotten pretty smooth now.
