Smart move. This will force a SCOTUS opinion they’ve already given before. It’s going to plainly destroy right-wing talking points, assert that states have their own ability to send electors (Trump tried to subvert this), and force these assholes to accept what a state says.

However, SCOTUS has shown that they don’t mind ignoring precedent, particularly if they can earn some sweet gratituities from it.

Well they heard they got appointed to do what’s right and they said, “challenge accepted,” but they misunderstood which “right.”

This is great but it’s unfortunate laws don’t matter in the US anymore for shit like this. What is going to stop them from just violating your rights? They are already doing it like breathing air and to what repercussions?

How does one prove citizenship? Isn’t it a fundamental problem that there’s no federal identification ID, other than a passport?

Real ID driver’s licenses seem to be a form of federal ID even though they are issued by states. It’s interesting how most people agree that lack of federal ID is a problem but they don’t want the government to track everybody. The gov is looking at Palantir to create a database of U.S. people and maybe it’s not popular because Palantir is kind of shady and right wing or maybe people just don’t want to be tracked.

Palantir is unmistakably every kind of shady, and people should not want to be tracked by them or any entity affiliated with them.

Raeal ID was supposed to be the answer to the lack of a federal ID program, since every state has to follow the same base guidelines (approved federally) when issuing them.
