It is led by the fascists in power in the US, but it is already a global cultural threat.
Donald Trump fights wokeness in his own way: He simply falls asleep regularly in the middle of the day.
My favorite was when he fell asleep in the middle of a medical emergency for a health care executive. There’s so many layers there that it would confuse even Shrek.
It used to be “political correctness”. Everyone was trying to be politically correct. But then, some people decided not to bother and call it woke instead, as if deliberately being incorrect both morally and grammatically.

“Basic empathy” is the American left’s equivalent of the right’s “common sense” - both are equally thought-terminating cliches.
Except the left actually believes that every person has an innate dignity and doesn’t deserve to be starved on the street, while the right believes that every person has a duty to be dominated by their “betters.” That’s what those phrases mean.
