I think because this person has a reach themselves. I haven’t followed lately, but she was even hired on “liberal” TV news networks for a while, after coming from Fox News. Makes no sense to me, but apparently people will listen to anyone shoved in front of their faces. They probably think they’re being fair, when in reality they’re super ignorant and don’t ask questions.
