Fear is such a strong word there. Pity. I pity men like that. It’s not alpha, everything they said is fear.

Fear of different races. Fear of different sexualities. Fear of anything different from their social norm, breaking out, doing anything different.

I see someone so stuck in their way of thinking that they are terrified of everything, and I pity them.

Real actual strong men don’t care. At all. Homosexuals and other races don’t bother them. Real men don’t care about other people live their lives or how other people see them. Actual men don’t need labels and they definitely don’t need to prove their manliness to anyone. Posts like this cause pity because they’re so desperate to prove to everyone (and themselves) that they are masculine, when all I see is a scared boy.

Performative anything is so cringe, and performative toxic masculinity is the king of cringe.

Toxic masculinity is so rooted in fear, it’s like dressing up as a scared mouse. Wow, you’re scared… of different skin colors? People with different outdoor hobbies than you? What a weird sad thing

Yep. We don’t fear him, we fear the clearly fascist regime people like him have voted for. And I wonder how he feels about that, though I doubt he’d admit it.
