The storms here flooded our basement 2ft and killed our AC and water heater in the middle of a heat wave. My partner just had surgery 2 days ago, and my disabled ass had to move her and all our essentials and dog next door to her mom’s (thank fuck she’s right here). We are not even in an evacuation zone and this has been insanely stressful and exhausting

Only my partner has this honor. mostly so she can help me find my phone lol (and emergencies obviously, but we are rarely apart outside of work)
