You really want to “streamline” the requirements for patient safety, obviously.
Replaced with: “A minimum of 70% of patients should survive their annual checkups.”
Earlier this year, they updated their policies so that they will not investigate any reports of anything that has happened more than a year ago. The previous policy was three years.
This is gravely concerning, and even employees I’ve talked to on the phone about this have said that they disagreed with the change. The big issue IMHO is that they certify troubled teen facilities, which can often make it impossible to report in that timeline. If your access to the outside world is cut off, if you aren’t seeing your parents for months at a time - this is a serious issue.
This is an intentionally designed limitation of the ability to hold anyone accountable.
