Humble changed their pricing model this year, so it’s my last year subscribing, so I want to use a little more discretion and skip some months because they do have “tent poles” that interest me sometimes. This month the tent pole is Persona 5, which I hear is good, but I still have Persona 4 on my backlog and it doesn’t interest me too much.
Hard to tell you what you will find worth it without any context to what you enjoy.
Personally, Banishers, Let’s School, and Sandrock have all been on my radar for a while so this was an awesome month for me.
A year or two ago I found out pretty late that there isn’t any benefit in pausing Humble Monthly anymore. The perk that was supposed to be given to Classic subscribers didn’t last much. You can just cancel your subscription and pay again as soon as you actually see something you like. The site will show some messages to dissuade you, but there really isn’t anything that should hold you back at the moment. Still, even if bundles there aren’t as juicy as they used to be, that’s still a very generous price if you like at least one of the offered games.
I had a bit of fun with warpips. I also really enjoyed Tiny Terry’s. Sandrock is also good if youre into grindy crafty sort of games. YMMV but I think yes, its a pretty decent bundle.
IGN Plus? Jesus Crist… shoveling shit now?
I’m in the same spot in regards to Persona 5, no real interest along with other untouched Persona games in my backlog already.
I really enjoyed Lil Gator Game and Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip when I played them, even if they were kinda childish. I’d probably buy the bundle for them if I didn’t already own them. I’ve heard Warpips is supposed to be alright, but I can’t exactly vouch for it either. I have no real opinion on the other games, and that IGN Plus sub is probably pointless.
