While estimates are difficult to do, because Valve is not a public company, in 2022, it was estimated at at least $7.7 billion, with that almost certainly being a significant underestimate.

If you do some napkin math between their 2022 total revenue and this low total value figure, and just carry that ratio forward to 2025, Valve’s low end total value estimate would be ~$9.6 billion, which would make them rank 8th on this list, just under Krafton, and above Squeenix.

Lots and lots and lots of kids play roblox, and use mommy and daddy’s money to buy microtransactions.

Maybe try and think of … Roblox is to Gen A what Pokemon was to Millenials, or Minecraft to Zoomers.

      But probably significantly bigger.

Roblox is insane in scale & mostly invisible to anyone older than 23. Right now, some of the peak 24hr concurrent on Steam charts is:

      • CS2: 1.5m
      • DOTA2: 1.2m
      • PUBG: 670k
      • ARC Raiders: 420k
      • Rust: 235k

These are insane, but Grow A Garden regularly has 2m concurrent every weekend. Adopt Me or Brookhaven can have north of 1m on weekend, especially if they update. Roblox Concerts regularly have 2m or more.

I have 3 kids, and I worked at a well-known Roblox video game company (Top 5). People in our generation just do not know, unless they have kids and definitely know.

I have kids. Roblox is fucking huge man, all kids seem to have played or play Roblox. 40 million game variants and it’s a micro transaction hellscape. Some kids ask for Robux (in game currency) for Christmas/Birthday and that’s all they play or do. It’s truely insane.

It’s the reason it’s a haven for child predators, children flood the system. So it’s a “target rich” environment. Pretty sad but that’s why it’s worth a ton. Micro transactions and massive player base.

Crazy that CDPR is on the list even though they make like 2 games per decade.

Roblox and Nintendo are both slum lords in their own way. Maximizing profits at the expense of their users.

Roblox targets Gen A children, Nintendo targets Millennial man-children and Millennial casual/cozy/cutesy girl gamers.

I’m not even trying to be rude, that just actually is the most succinct way I can describe the target market demographics for each company.
