I want to think something will come of it, but I worry that if the ICE agent catches a charge for this, Trump will pardon him. He needs to send a clear message to his Gestapo that they’re above the law and that would be a way to do it. If that happens, I seriously hope it’s the catalyst to full-scale drag-people-into-the-street-and-beat-them-to-death revolt.
Trump can only pardon federal charges. If he’s charged in Minnesota there’s nothing he can do other than hide the guy and prevent him from being arrested, which will do even more damage to his reputation and energize the resistance. I’m betting he lets this guy take the fall but does whatever he can to impede the prosecutors from gathering evidence while continuing to smear the victim.
