By “Human Music”, I’m referencing this scene from Rick and Morty Season 1 Episode 4. Jerry, unbeknownst to him, is inside a simulation that’s barely functioning due to low compute power. His car radio starts playing “Human Music”, which is just the notes “C-D-C — C-D-C …” played on a loop forever, and Jerry remarks: “Hmm, Human Music. I like it.”
What do you like to listen to that feels like “Human Music”? As an example, I just listened to Waterflame’s song The Blue Planet, and I really enjoyed it.
Although ‘enjoy’ is rather a strong word. More like “fail to dislike”. Barely.
Oh I love Bolero!!
I’m just gonna leave this Plumbus here…
Finger Eleven - Paralyzer
All of dubstep. I’m pretty sure it is just one song on a loop.
Not since the great skrillex carrington event that caused dubstep to diverge into two poles. The classic slower, 4-layer-max UK dubstep (wub wub) was forever polarized from the faster, ADHD-style, 30-layer, youtube-sample-ridden, Optimus Prime-sounding dubstep (varoo errrg gu gu errrg eeee paaaaaause didli didli skkrrrrrr). There’s at least two songs on loop now.
Pachelbel’s Canon is probably the most widely familiar forgotten song/melody that nearly everyone alive today has probably heard in some form, most without ever realizing it.
William Basinski - Disintegration Loops
Parade of lights-human condition
Fairly simple structure, but I enjoy it.
I can’t really see a similarity between the scene and the other track you posted personally, I’m curious what makes something “feel like” it to you?
Though tangentially related, there’s a remix of that scene that lives rent free in my head
