I agree, actually. While I think there does have to be some protection against people using the work of creatives without some form of recompense, the current laws surrounding this are broken to the point of uselessness. Only the huge masters get benefit from IP law in the west, not the people.
We need to fix that whole aspect of human life. But until then, we need to also recognize that we live in a broken system and people who play stupid games in that system win stupid prizes.
I find in my line of work that if you ask it "101-"grade questions, like the kind of questions a beginner who knows next to nothing would ask, you’ll get acceptable (not good, but acceptable) answers from LLMbeciles. As soon as it requires any degree of serious technical know-how, or as soon as context starts to matter, the utility plummets dramatically from “acceptable” to “what the actual fuck are you thinking using this!?”
The problem is that asking those 101- questions of your coworkers gets you acceptable or better answers more quickly, and often, as a bonus, stuff that has examples straight out of your workspace. So LLMbeciles are kind of worthless for beginner questions too.
Seth who now?

This is true. It’s infringement, and they’re different words for a reason.
But …
Infringement is against the law. The people doing this live in an environment in which what they’re doing is illegal. If they have philosophical opposition to intellectual “property” (that formulation is grossly dishonest) they can fight it. Or ignore it. Or whatever. But if they infringe while the laws are still there, they will have the current laws applied to them. (This is just common sense.)
And I said if you’re going to have the notion of intellectual property at all, it’s not the fourteen year old kid who downloads a Metallica album that should be jailed. It’s the motherfuckers literally walking off with the collected knowledge and creative output of humanity and walling it off behind their expensive product who should.
Wouldn’t that depend on the scale?
Steal $0.01 and prison is clearly ludicrous.
What about stealing $1,000,000,000?
I’d rather see him continue increasing the dosages and frequency myself.
Like perhaps injecting 2g of ketamine daily and chasing that with a fifth of whisky.
A whole lot of that “Conservative Bible” project energy here. “Reality and truth are against me, so I’m going to rewrite it to make it match my stances!”
Some of us were educated back when school actually taught writing.
Don’t be a fucking putz.
Believe it. There’s a single community in the Lemmyverse that is “women only”. And it’s a fucking magnet for passing men who absolutely have to make sure they’re heard in this one single community when 99.44% of the other communities are so dominated by men that women participating is practically a unicorn.
Even the “leftists” of Lemmy can’t stand a women’s space. Lemmy is the manosphere!

What are men problems, huh? Like, dunno, expectation to always go after that false masculinity.
And you think we don’t have expectations foisted on us? Expectation to raise the children. Expectation to do the housework. All while conforming to standards of beauty that range from the uncomfortable to the literally lethal.
Compassionate fucking Buddha, there’s a reason why the manosphere is pointed at in disbelief and it’s right fucking here!

Fuck you.
I think someone is missing what “losers that can’t be laid” actually means.
Short answer: no.
Longer answer: Aw HELL no!
Came for the shade on slop, stayed for the burn on Boeing.
Google Maps has very spotty coverage where I live.
My goal is an even dozen.
He very specifically said he wasn’t using “brute forcing”. That’s why it took milliseconds instead of seconds. The comparison is to actual AI tools vs. LLMbeciles in this case.
Well the thing is I’ve dealt with aitechbroshilldudes in other communities who insist that my objections to LLMbeciles are “out of date” and that “modern” “reasoning” LLMbeciles can do, and I quote directly here, “amazing things that blow away human beings”.
So I gave it a relatively simple logic puzzle that could easily have come from the stack of logic puzzle magazines I have lying around somewhere from back when I needed something to do while bored on a bus. (I mean it’s rated “difficult” but for human beings. And “difficult” here means “if you’re experienced, this will probably take you about an hour”.)
So if LLMbeciles themselves say in their responses that they’re ready to tackle “tricky questions”, and their shills claim that they “surpass human beings”, surely a puzzle that’s a pleasant pastime for humans who are bored can be solved, right?
Nope. 🤣
Besides, I took it at its word. Is it my fault it lies?
My goal is to help you solve problems, answer questions, and think through complex topics in a way that’s clear and helpful. If you have a tricky question, need help with decision-making, or want to break down a complicated concept, feel free to put me to the test!
It doesn’t help that Tesla’s offerings are so far behind the times now that they’re stale goods. Kaptain Ketamine was so intent on that idiotic “Cybertruck” fiasco, then his idiotic political ambitions, that Tesla brought nothing meaningful new to the marketplace.
