I strongly suspect that I have ADHD, but I can’t see the benifit of getting diagnosed.
I know that if I get diagnosed and offically have ADHD I can get some medicine but I don’t think I want that in any case.
Can you share your experience and what benifit you got from getting offically diagnosed?
Edit: for future readers, I got diagnosed and can confidently say that the right drugs, and the awareness of my own struggles as a neurodivergency and not just laziness or whatever, has made a significant difference. Get diagnosed, try Straterra imo (atomoxetine)
I know I’m late to this, but I wanted to say congrats on being diagnosed and medicated!
For anyone who may be on the fence, I would definitely recommend at least giving it a try. Meds and diagnosis have made a huge difference in my life. Not everything is just fixed, unfortunately, but I do have some control over what I’m doing now, and my emotional regulation is better.
