Buoenos Aires has a subtropical climate, so frost does not occur often. Last snow was 2007.

The ironic part is that this really does cause extreme confusion. I went to grad school in Argentina and had to have my diplomas and transcripts translated. For each term, the translator put in a note like “Spring is between March and June in the northern hemisphere”.
