Yes Christianity is the sequel to Judaism, but they believe that the Jews at the time didn’t want to follow Jesus and crucified him for heresy. Hence Jews and Christians have a had a lot of beef the past 2000 years.

Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism. The Old Testament and the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) are largely the same.
