My position is that infinities are useful fictions that help simplify/clarify models,
& since the ACTUAL math is impossibly-complex ( like solving all the vectors for all the particles of this galaxy is nonsensically-tough, therefore simplifications are required, in order to solve anything ), simplifications are a bedrock fact-of-life.
