The 0.1% are like turbo hedonists. If they beat the population into being severe ascetics then the ones who stick out will be: elites, politicians, authorities, politicians, suck-ups, spoiled heirs, politicians, etc.

I think all the little things people “get to do” help contribute to the “temporarily embarrassed millionaire” mentality. Take that away and there’s going to be significantly less tolerance for corruption.

And the elites will create a system where the only way to vote is to spill blood.
