If we’re speaking of Catholicism, then that last one is a bit tame. The Catholic crucifix includes a statue of Jesus being tortured to death on the cross.

That’s basically all medieval execution methods. There’s a reason the French were like “fuck that shit” and invented the guillotine when they kickstarted the modern era with the French Revolution.
Saint Sebastian more recently became patron of adventurers.
