    Wouldn’t it be remarkable if we lived lives so linearly predictable that we could plan like that? Surely there’s never been a person that’s had children and then ran into employment or financial challenges afterwards. It’s so far fetched it’s hard to imagine!

      I’ve ran into both of those problems. Never have I had to rely on the government to feed my kids.

        I’m grateful that you didn’t have to go through greater hardship. In a community there are times we have to rely on each other and government can be a medium for that. I hope for a future where we can do more for those in need, collectively. When we lift them, we lift everyone.

        Did you not send your kids to a public school with government lunches? The government subsidize like 1/3 of your children’s meals for most of their lives.

        And yet you used government roads to drive to the grocery store. If you were truly self reliant you would’ve cut your own path through the woods.
