I think Marvel and star wars addicts might find it hard to cancel thier subscriptions, they are so obsessed with these franchised.
Disney is partially responsible for thier consequences, since they donate heavily to the GOP, we know they sustain the gop in FLORIDA, so it is likely they donate to gop national campaigns too.
Just weighing in as a reformed Marvel fan and lifelong Star Wars fan: I started keeping local copies of that shit almost a decade ago and recommend to anyone I know to do the same. You never know when a streaming company might decide that it is no longer worth the bandwidth to host it, or if the rights will be transferred to a new service that I won’t already have (i.e. all ot them). If you genuinely enjoy almost any media in the modern era you need to have a local copy, because if you don’t some corporate entity may just decide to make it lost media on a whim because it becomes only moderately profitable.
Imagine actual oligarchs and nazis staying in power because actual oppressed people love stories the oligarchs and nazis control about imaginary oppressed people defeating imaginary oligarchs and nazis too much to stop giving them money.
The truly obsessive Star Wars fans won’t pirate. They think Disney will blacklist them and they’ll miss out on waving plastic light cones around at those freakish cult ceremonies. Paying out the ass for Star Wars shit is more like religious tithe to them.

… and I say to myself, what a wonderful world.
For those that can’t quit the content cold turkey, there are other avenues of consuming that don’t benefit Disney… 🏴☠️
