4 years with this flock. I don’t push it with physical contact. But today “filthy phil” decided to patronize the idiot pretending to be a tree. To my utter delight.

    That’s awesome! I have a pair (Bluejay and Twojay) who have started regularly visiting my feeder this year. They’re out there as much as the sparrows and chickadees at this point. They now just chill right above me and wait (relatively) patiently for me to fill the feeder and the bird bath. I haven’t tried to get them to land on me yet, but the chickadees are close. I also saw a boreal chickadee for the first time yesterday evening. Cute as a goddamn button and makes a sound like an infant black capped with emphysema.
