I’m all for showing creative signs from the protest, but PLEASE blur faces. Shitler would love to have evidence of dissent when he goes full dictator mode.
There were no doubt plenty of cameras recording them as they protested, all being fed into the facial recog servers. This picture isn’t getting anyone on a list they weren’t already on.
Besides, they’re braver than the larping cowards that have theirs covered as they disappear people into the concentration camps.
I feel like if you were there unmasked you gave implicit consent for your face to be photographed. Obviously there will be press, and just normal people taking pictures. This wasn’t Portland after curfew, it’s a suburban Saturday morning.
That’s not the point. You’re ALLOWED to show their faces. Buddy’s asking you to do them a solid and NOT show their faces anyway. While it may not make a practical difference a lot of the time, it’s an important principle and the more it’s practiced, the more effective it becomes.
