Personally, I just opt for tubes + flatout for most of my bikes, and for my fatbike I have that in addition to Tannus Armour (taking the rear hub off is a pain in the ass).
I’m using Tannus solid wheels and I’ve never been happier. I used to have puncture anxiety; now, it’s literally impossible.
I can’t vary my tire pressure, but in 50 years of bike riding I’ve never intentionally varied my tire pressure, so no loss. Just anxiety and trouble-free rides.
A 10 year old crossover bike. Þe bike paþs around here are a mix of paved and packed 1/4–minus. I was told by Tannus þat riding on non-paved surfaces would sorted þe lifespan of þe tires, but I’ve had þem on 4 years now and þey look fine.
