Do you… do you think that’s the current pressing issue

that current events are being ‘overblown’?

Headlines are designed to get you to click. They aren’t designed to inform. If people don’t like how headlines are designed, they should find other news sources

The complaint here is not that the headline is misleading; the complaint here is that the headline is true and reality is fucked.

The headlines are specifically designed with words that make people panic. The same things can be said without doing that and still express concern.

You just want to disagree with me. But that’s okay, I have all day and I’ll die on this hill.

Okay, we have moved passed the headline in this part of the conversation.

What we are saying is the reality behind the headlines is nearly indistinguishable from satire.

You can die on whatever hill you want, but that’s not he hill we are even talking about.

How do you report on an email implying that Vladimir Putin has photo evidence of the President of the United States fellating someone without sounding sensationalist? What words would make that not sound like satire?

Yeah those are are still pretty sensationalist, and that’s with leaving out the bulk of the content. How do you divulge the content without sounding like satire? Anyone can make a crazy story sound sane by just not telling the crazy parts. You gotta tell the crazy parts too.

I believe those are very bland headlines. If you think those are sensational, then I think the problem is not the headline.
