I thought this was leading up to some dick joke lol, I’m sure they have done a lot more work than just some specific rod that makes their cars a good value for customers, also most vehicles on the road all over that world are ICE, EV adoption is not gonna suddenly go up overnight as it needs a large charging network to function and governments would not allow the pandemonium of the value of oil suddenly dipping considering all theve done to get that oil, so they have enough time to work on designing their own EV lineup of cars

the main thing toyota is known for is reliability, and the main thing they need to keep running and reliable is the ICE engine
control rods, pistons, oil pumps etcetc
ev’s don’t have all that shit, the main thing on ev’s is the electronics and plastic stuff inside them
