I just don’t understand how Hernandez continues to make these terrible calls and …. checks notes …. Keeps his job? How does an ump lose status or his position or whatever?
It’s baffling. These are the best baseball players in the world, they deserve the best umps. Or at the very least a more extensive challenge system
Yep I am all for the automated ball/strike system and something for checked swings. On most broadcasts they can queue up the players swing quickly to see if they went around or not. If MLB could add a check like that in so it doesn’t take too much time I would be all for it.
