    Flying cars can use EV parts once they are certified for aviation use, which may help Chinese companies scale up.

    Why would this be a good idea? Those “flying cars” have about nothing in common with an EV.

      I don’t think they’re supposed to be. In this context when they say “flying car” i believe they mean personal flying machine that can take off and land from any location without needing a runway. Like a personal vehicle you can get into from your driveway then fly directly to the grocery store and back. Basically a helicopter that can take off and land anywhere, not just at a helipad

        yeah the problem is air traffic control. that is why the concept in the past required roadability. It basically required the concept of a local spot for controlled elevation and descent into the air traffic system.
