I would love this. I hate driving in general because traffic fucking sucks, but if i do have to drive, let me have an engaging experience. Shitfing is the only fun thing about driving

This isn’t letting you control when the “shifting” happens. It’s just cutting the power for a small period at preset speeds like an automatic transmission ICE.
I haven’t read the article tbh, i just clearly understand where the desire for it comes from. Also, what you describe seems to fit well for what “weird people who like shifting” want?
