A big reason why EVs are more expensive to repair after a collision comes down to the availability of parts.
You don’t want aftermarket parts anyways.
Why? I would prefer to buy parts from a known good supplier say for instance Timken and their bearings. I find their quality just as good and long lasting as OEM if not better.
Not for body parts (sheet metal, glass, lights) you don’t.
If oems could fix their own cars in a decent amount of time at an affordable price…
