Run some cool water at the end.
My son and I call it beast mode or occasionally Viking mode. Tamp down the temperature as far as one can go. It’s supposed to be good for the immune system. I used to barely be able to breathe in cold water. Now I can spend several minutes with the shower all the way cold.
Counter point, hearing your small child screaming across the house in the shower shaves seconds off your life in the time it takes for them to respond to your inquiries with “oh I’m fine daddy! Just practicing beast mode!”
that terrible feeling when it’s 95% humidity out and the shower damp just follows you the entire fuggin day
I can’t take a shower within 30 minutes to an hour of going for a run. Doesn’t matter how cold the water is, my back will sweat afterwards regardless. Takes even longer in the summer. Worst part of working out!
Spend the last 5 minutes or so with the temperature lukewarm. Should stop, or at least reduce, the sweating.
