Well there are no races in the species of homo sapiens in the first place so yeah, white isn’t a proper race :3

We’re all just different breeds. And just like dogs and cats, keeping a heritage unnaturally pure tends to bring a host of bad health issues and vulnerabilities.

Not even enough genetic diversity to constitute being called different “breeds”. Cats, dogs, and other animals that are stratified by “breeds” have enough genetic diversity to call for stratification with clear distinctions between each breed. For us humans, there are a few genetic markers that were adapted to their regional environments but the adaptations have no clear genetic delineations between the different “races”. There is a lot of overlapping after millennia of ancestral mixing.

You can tell a dog breed through genetic sequencing. You can’t tell someone’s race using it, though. We can tell our potential ancestry but there is way too much genetic overlap between the different “races” to tell the individual’s race via their genome alone.

It’s a lot more complex than this but I’m just speaking generally to get the point across.
