Also, bodycams were always a cop wishlist item. They control the footage, does anyone think if ICE had bodycams there would be transparency? Of course not, there would be a ton of “malfunctioning” bodycams when they did some shit, and in any case where a civilian showed even a hint of resistance or that they might fight back, the footage would be used to bury them.

DNC platform is tax the rich, raise minimum wage, and fund social programs. They have had 48 or less senators for over 13 years, currently 45. The last time they had 58 for less than two months they caucused with 2 independents to pass Medicaid. They would have launched a Public Option identical to Germany’s healthcare if not for one of those independents opposing it.
DNC is liberal, DNC is on our side, Vote DNC. Or, if an independent polls higher, then vote for them because at least they’re not a Republican and removing every single Republican should be our goal.
Many democrats are on our side. Historically, traditionally the DNC AKA leadership absolutely isn’t. There have been some changes in recent history. And that’s good. But till there’s enough history to plot out a new pattern of behavior. We’d be fools to treat them as if they changed.
The biggest problem with the Democratic party for decades has been that they’re serving two masters. Lip-service to the voters to try and get their neoliberal candidates in office. But legislating largely for the major donors that took over funding the party once Reagan broke the unions. The DNC talks the talk. But atm are unable to walk the walk. I hope that changes soon. With each death and retirement, things look a little better for them.

I think my two Senators: Kaine, and Warner are playing a shell game where they go as corporate as they can and still give the appearance of resistance.

He recorded it all. You can see him with the phone in hand in all angles. They then released that video and he still looks guilty.
There’s a brief second or so that the phone is pointed down, at a crucial time. Body cam footage would’ve proven conclusively if he was hit by the car or not.
We have plenty of angles proving he wasn’t hit by the car.

…you read the same paragraph we just did, right? Did you miss the part where he DOES have a body camera? He filmed it. He’s not holding a cell phone. He’s holding a gun. Which he used to shoot Rene Good in the face.
He did not have a body camera. He’s got discretion on what he wants to film. Many ICE attacks are not filmed. There has been several other shootings that were not filmed and as a result there has been little backlash against because the ICE lies cannot be debunked.
This is incorrect as others pointed out. A phone is not a body cam.
They released the phone cam, which they used to try to justify his actions with. A body cam wouldn’t have because it would’ve showed he was fucking hit and it would’ve shown him shooting Renee in the face to the world.
The reason they don’t use body cams is because the unspoken word is, “show what you want people to see; throw the phone down when you don’t want them to see it.”
The entire point of a body cam is to always film.

if you watch the new angle released in the past few days you can see he’s using his own personal phone. he actually swaps hands, pulls out his gun and leans into the car so it looks like he’s next to it on his camera.
body cam would make it clearer but if they can’t afford cameras with the funds already, which is enough to fund a small military let alone 4k agents, I’m pretty sure they are just going to spend it on mustard gas next.
There’s a couple seconds we couldn’t see, specifically because it was a cell phone and not a body cam. Not that the fascists would ever admit to wrongdoing, but it probably would be convincing even more people that it was a murder if we had body cam footage also.
It’s not going to do anything. They’ll just turn them off or say they were malfunctioning. Or just get away with it even with video like we’re seeing here. Recording the fascism isn’t going to stop the fascism. They’ll just “oh no, anyway…”
