If they voted to end the filibuster (something they only need 51 votes to do. As it’s a rule and not a bill) they could have passed student loan forgiveness (a bill) with even 2 of the 53 Democrats at the time not voting for it. Meaning a simple 51 vote majority. They could have passed a Green New Deal. They chose not to.

Like, how do you not get what I’m talking about? Like, can you not connect basic things together?

I started talking about the filibuster because I incorrectly assumed someone reading or replying would have a minimal level of understanding of our system of governance.

The president leads the party. They lead policy and push for whips to whip votes in the House and Senate. To pretend that the Democrats and Joe Biden were “stuck” is idiotic.

Just because you don’t understand how things work to get legislation passed doesn’t mean it “has nothing to do with it”. It means you don’t understand it. I can explain more if you want. But you are grandstanding on your own ignorance and it’s quite frankly embarrassing.

Did you forget what you were even arguing about?

Let me help you out. Here’s your original comment I replied to:

That’s giving Biden far far too much credit. But I get your point.

Why are you talking about Democrats in Congress now? We were talking about Biden. You took what you are now acknowledging is at lest partially on Senate Democrats (in reality, it’s 100% on Republicans for blocking it at every point), and blamed it all on Biden. And then when called out, you shifted the goalposts.

Yeah, Democrats fucked up. But we were talking about Biden doing or not doing enough, not the Democrats and the filibuster.

I’m sorry I’m capable of using my brain and knowing THE LEADER OF THE PARTY, the person that leads and directs policy for their entire term in office, THE PRESIDENT, is the person to blame for being weak and not whipping votes to get their policies passed.

What is this brick wall you’ve built up in your mind between the Democratic party and its leader?

Is it so you don’t have to address the failure? Like poor ol lil Biden tried so hard but HIS OWN PARTY is to blame? Gee, I guess Trump has nothing to do with funding ICE like a second military. He clearly had no control. That was the House and the Senate that voted for it. /s

        Do you hear yourself?

It’s so pathetic that you bring up my original comment as being unrelated. It’s not. You’re too stupid to understand it. That’s not my fault.

What is my fault is I made the assumption you were not stupid. I made the assumption that you understood a small amount of how the system works. I apologize for the “jump” you felt because you lacked basic understanding of the topic.

But, now, I’ve literally tried to spoon feed you some basics and you’re grabbing the spoon and shoving it in your ear while screaming “ugh! What does that have to do with that?! My brain can’t comprehend how that works!”

You’re so stupid that you see me explaining things to you as “shifting the goal post”. I’m not pivoting my argument dude. I’m trying to put basic information into your brain and it keeps bouncing off the smooth surface.

Look at you, you don’t even know what this discussion was about.

You’re so blinded by your hatred for Biden and Democrats (a lot of which is warranted), that you can’t even accept that he tried to do a thing and was blocked.

You can’t accept that someone, in passing, gave him credit for trying to do that thing.

Take a step back and think about why you’re like this.
