It’s high-pressure and fast-paced because they’re stupid and set insane deadlines with the client without consulting you first. Nevermind that they’ll bust out the “well, I stay late every day, too!” and you’ll get fired soon after if you say “yea, and your quality hugely suffers for it.”
Their definition of “lazy” conflicts heavily with reality. They work hard, not smart, producing rushed, shitty work that takes them twice as long to do because they haven’t given themselves even 10 minutes in the last decade to learn a new skill or tool in the software. I worked with a grown adult in 2023 who wouldn’t upgrade from AutoCAD 2013 and he was the drafting manager. He wasn’t the only one like that, either.
