It’s not quite the same, but I know someone who acquired Italian citizenship because their grandparents were Italian/had Italian citizenship. They don’t even speak Italian.

At that point you count on either extended family support (or both sets of grandparents), older kids to take care of the younger siblings or for kids to fend for themselves. One kid is a lot if you don’t have family support, let alone 2 or more. Definitely to each their own, but I could never (especially as the person in the relationship who would be popping those kids out).

I had a classmate who was the youngest of 10. Always smelled bad, but otherwise an okay kid. I think the family was poor. Not surprising, having had to feed 12 people. I wonder how many of them have had kids of their own by now and if any chose to have many or none at all.

Family recently looked after a frenchie and 1) the labored breathing noises were upsetting to listen to, I felt bad for the dog, and 2) one of my dogs kept misinterpreting those noises as growling/aggression. 0/10, would never want to have a brachycephalic breed with the number of health issues they have and suffering it brings them.

I don’t know how anyone can have kids in good conscience in this day and age. Even us Millennials are going to get affected badly, let alone younger gens who are in for a total ecological collapse.

I’m kind of in charge of printers at work. There’s this annoying bug in M$ Office where sometimes their dumb apps override default printer choice and there doesn’t seem to be any sane fix out there. I keep getting a few annoyed admin people complain about this, and I’m like wtf am I supposedtl to do here??, I’m not an M$ dev. God, I hate working with M$ products.

Yeah, that’s usually what we did (I worked in support). But even then, we had several other verification steps, so random people couldn’t easily abuse the system. Which used to include account number, among other things.
