Some communities don’t need a good discussion forum, they need voice chat with a little text chat. Originally, discord was for gaming groups and it worked amazingly for that. Now, more communities are on it than should be, but its still a good feature set for gaming groups.
You must be an apple_enthusiast because why else would you be here?
The dislike bar was real, I’ll tell ya, I’ve lived nigh on eighty years and me own two eyes seent the dislike bar clear as day! Ye better believe, sonny, it’s the truth!

Yeah in that case I agree. Tons of people have their preferred YouTube frontend, or application, or way of using YouTube itself, and we can all get YouTube links to automatically redirect to our preferred method, but if someone links their preferred frontend directly, anyone who uses a different method all of a sudden can’t use it automatically.
Freetube is not a website, but a desktop application that massively improves the usability over YouTube’s UX. It doesn’t serve the same purpose as an ad blocker, which also works well for its purpose.
Yeah google maps is still the GOAT as much as I wish it wasn’t.
If you’re on desktop, check out freetube instead of the buggy mess that is piped links.
Then so is the question. The answer is yes. The specifics and timeline are what people disagree on.
Damn I missed it. What was the juicy comment that got -27?
Then we have to wait til they drop the legendary VPN-quad-busta
“If law enforcement is going to look at my data, I’ll give them something to look at” lmao
That’s a good question. I know good vpns like mullvad do not and can not log ips/traffic without changes to their backend, I wonder if they could claim “it’s impossible” or something (clearly bogus, but the argument could be “with our current infrastructure, I.e. We can’t afford to redo our systems to comply”)
I don’t believe you need that field with Proton, correct me if I’m wrong. If you do need that field with an email provider, and you need complete opsec, use a different provider.
This is non-news, like all tech companies, they are bound by law to do this. It happens more than 6000 times per year for Proton. However, this user just had bad opsec. Proton emails are all encrypted and cannot be read unless law enforcement gets your password, which Proton does not have access to. Even if Proton hands over all data.
Yeah. Even if they couldn’t hand over recovery emails, having a personal email as a backup to a “private and sensitive” email account is bad practice.

Because of their integration with simplelogin.
