SaaS occasionally makes sense but I’m overall against it. Hardware SaaS has been dumb as fuck since AMD tried to charge us extra to unlock cores we already had on the chip and like 6 seconds until we fished out how to get around it.

As a Lemmy and Duck Duck Go user, this is a desired feature!
This all sounds smart to me. I’ll vote for it given the chance.
My daughter has been trying to get me to install this for years. My refusal has been vindicated! I kept telling her I don’t trust it. And she drives like me and her premiums are nuts even for her age and she’s been lucky and has a great driving record.
Denver Metro is on par with the cost of living of San Diego Metro. Lots of people agreed with you already and moved here.
My wife and I are fond of Rise! in Ft Collins. Not exactly Denver but some people think of the front range as Denver who aren’t from around here.
Some straight people are dumb as fuck.
Source, am a straight people.
That’s not the only one… It’s like being flashbanging.
Them sure are pretty words. I feel like I’ll get myself in a lot of trouble with a bricked phone.
I’ve heard that about the browser, and does give me pause. I use Firefox on all my devices these days. But GrapheneOS and the like are beyond my desire to try to make work and maintain.
I thought of that and looked through the steps to do it and I’m pretty sure I’m past the age of me wanting to try. There was a day it would have been something I couldn’t wait to do but I’m pretty sure I’m ~10 years past that day.
If it has USB C and a 10x optical zoom I’m almost guaranteed to swap from Android to Apple finally. Google’s BS around making ads part of DRM or whatever was the last straw.

I didn’t know that about the browsers, and I’ve never heard of GrapheneOS. I’ll look into it, thank you!
That’s a fantastic breakdown! I appreciate you taking the time to write this out.
The voice transcription worries me. I use it all the time to take notes while listing to audio books on the road.
Say more about what you like about it at much!
I’ve almost swapped to Apple a few times and now with Google and the DRM bit, even though I use Firefox it still grinds my gears.
Come September I may have my first iPhone.

To add to your comment, ceramic window tint is a night and day difference. My steering wheel, shifter, and all couldn’t be touched after work. I wore driving gloves to get home. With the tint there slightly warm and the AC doesn’t take half the drive to catch up, the car is cool by the first stop light.
Maybe they should sell cars with that by default instead?
