I’ve been very happy with my Manjaro install on AMD GPU, everything worked out of the box on fist try install without any weird step. I would say you could jump straight to Arch/Arch-based, but first research about your GPU compatibility.

(I’m aware of how Manjaro is perceived and its downsides, please avoid comments suggesting me to switch).

No. If you don’t want to be tracked and you are using a VPN, fingerprinting is a problem as well. Privacy is not concern just for drug dealers.

Tangent note: I think browser fingerprinting is only a source of concern if you use VPN. Otherwise, your IP is already a good enough identifier, and quite likely doesn’t rotate often enough. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong.

There’s ways in which a program can detect if it is running in a VM. If Riot made a kernel-level anti-cheat program, they’ll surelly also implement this.

Dota 2 is similar to LoL, has a native Linux build and runs perfectly fine out of the box. Perhaps you can give it a shot.
