Will they need social security number (ssn) to set this up?

privacy.com used to offer a similar feature but then a while ago started requiring ssn due to new banking regulation.

If apple doesn’t require it I wonder how they where able to sidestep the supposed regulation.

To be fair the speed difference is crucial for the “direct record to external storage” feature. Not sure how often people would use it day to day.

I remember back when I had a iPhone 6 I managed to wreck the battery in 1.5-2 years.

I used to play way to much world to tanks and ended up charging my phone twice a day 😂.

As this was before apple had battery health my phone would spontaneously shut down at the time.

Although to apples credit this was far from normal use

In my case it’s only had it happen to me 3 times over the course of 1-2 years. It wasn’t consistent in running wild.

Snazzy labs and macadress

I’m a weirdo that was s half apple half Android. I have I ipad and Macbook and Android and Galaxy watch (also I do have iMessage on android thanks to bluebubbles runing on a older Mac Mini with opencore).

I kinda like tinkering hence I choose android but I like the efficiency and continuity of apple silicon macs and ipads.

As per apple services I use them at the bare minimum and try to rely on cross platform apps to replace some of the native apps.
