On mine I had to use a BIOS flasher tool since it was locked and Dev mode wasn’t allowed to be enabled (think it was due to enterprise enrollment), though flashing the image directly worked like a charm following the unbricking guide.

I never liked doing it. Got in trouble a few times for not doing it, though that didn’t matter to me since I got in trouble a lot when I was in school. Those dipshits (the counselor) thought I had “Gender Identity Disorder” and was reacting because of “distress” (Not because I wouldn’t say the pledge, I did many worse things than that), they also used the fact that I also had long hair and sometimes would wear a skirt as evidence I had GID. I would probably also consider this whole fiasco and pushback against Kolanki’s very justified ban an act of bigot apologia, something else that is utterly unacceptable.

But will it actually be fine? Will everything actually be fine if our Admins won’t handle community squatting seriously? How can someone be willing to ban people for thinly veiled bigotry so badly they wipe all their content, even the benign from this instance. But in cases of community squatting “Oh no I don’t want to interfere with the community” that has no sense whatsoever!

Also just for the record. I think Kolanki deserved it for being an ass and playing the victim. You absolutely need to earn allyship, you can’t just self-proclaim to be an Ally when you don’t actually support queer people in any way.
