  • Have no worries, adventurers, the castle you see is in ruins and hasn’t been used for centuries. You should instead head west and you shall find the capital of this kingdom named Asgal. Do not worry about directions as you shan’t miss the castle in there.

I do not have a city pass, alas, but you may head westward, find the Assassin’s Guild beyond the city walls. They shall judge if thy plan is worth a backing, grant you a pass for the capital. (And I imagine the leader of that guild would arrest these four adventurers because she is a hero of the kingdom, despite being an assassin).

You shan’t hear a word of mine about this sinister attempt you plan. Fare thee well, adventurers.

  • Heh, funny you mention a party of 4 when I always imagined 4 heroes, a party of 4, in this kingdom she is into.

The papers are spellbooks and magic research papers, I imagine Lokina as a very powerful mage but is treated as an outcast by the Mage’s Guild, which is one building/city/academy in the background.

She was also the princess of the kingdom of Asgalia, whose castle is further in the background, before it fell apart due to a revolution, though, she never was involved into royal family stuff, she was the kind to leave the house and never return.

To study magic with every mage, being talented and record magic of them all, submit the notion of spellbook technology, where anyone could use magic recorded in a spellbook (like using GenAI, like she is stealing others’ magic spells).

Her greatest feat was record the magic of every living mage within a spellbook. Every mage treated her like an outcast ever since because of that, she is not allowed to interact with any mage, and this remains true 5 centuries later.

I can give more details, if needed, but feels like already too long of a comment~

  • Quite true that CS4 is kinda a low point in the series, it left me soo disappointed after how good Cold Steel 3 felt in comparison, and I hated how similar the plot felt to Cold Steel 2, and how slow things were happening for a game that should conclude everything in the arc.

At the very least, Reverie felt like a step in the right direction, and the Daybreak arc felt better with the removal of romance options and side quests being a change from feeling like a bracer (since you are more on the grey side of things, you can blackmail people to solve a quest among other things).

  • Great game and great universe and story that expands itself into Library of Ruina and Limbus Company.

I also loved designing my employees for each department, like having the disciplinary department full of red haired people that are very edgy or battle ready as it fits the theme of disciplinary people that lived through plenty of battles, or Extraction team with only one captain, and all the rest are sacrificial fodders used to manage some ALEPH.

I did cheat towards the end as it was getting very hard, but, very fun story and experience and going to Ruina afterwards and seeing all my employees take the stage once again alongside their managers was great.

  • Well, in my opinion, its because he doesnt really respect the people. For instance, during legislative election for the new Assemblée Génerale, the left union won, by a weak margin but they still had the higher proportion of seats. And then, he decided to not choose to give the seat of First Minister to the left, but instead, to wait for many weeks, only to give it at the end to the right political party, who came out fourth and was a minority compared to Left Union/Macron’s “centrist” party/Far Right. He basically refuses to negociate with the left and doesn’t want to be seen as if wanting to work with the far right. Also why did he even abolish the Assemblée when far right just won the European elections in France? It’s like he wanted them to win. He got in because it was him or far right, and he does things like that.

He also favors right politics like uniforms at school and mandatory military service for all young adults. Retirement was pushed to the age of 64 under his name, public schools and hospitals are in pain and nothing is done to fix it like raising salaries for teachers, instead billions lost to please old minds with uniforms. He also forces poor people without a job to now work 15 hours a week to receive the monetary help to be barely be able to live. Some of his minister support far right ideas such as immigration or are incompetent at their jobs, or are corrupt or are people who commited crimes like Le Pen did.

There are other things, but to me, I do not really like how the democracy feels more like an authoritarian government where the politicians are just forcing their way through unpopular decision that doesn’t solve issues the country is having. And when protests happen, the police just represses them. When left is protesting, its banned but when far right is protesting, somehow its allowed.

He also opens the door to the far right winning with how his ministers are constantly bashing the left and praising the right. Media being owned by a billionaire and spreading their propaganda online isnt helping also.

He makes bad decisions to solve the economy (or maybe his decisions are good, hard to say overall), though, he really really doesnt want to tax the rich, so, people have to work more. I’ve heard some name him the president for rich people.

I voted for him in 2022 personally because he was the only one that wanted to support Ukraine, everyone else felt like they’d be bending their knees to Russia. If helping Ukraine wasn’t in the equation, things could have been different, I suppose.

All of that is but my opinion, of course, I can’t say how other feels on Macron in France and why they hate him.
