maybe to wait to have at least some hard number looks like a good idea.
Good plan. So they’re holding off on starlink launches to let the science catch up, right?

I fully expect they did. I think this is partly why Elon went from “there’s no planet B” to a Saudi simp. Way to much money to be made to waste time on the concerns of scientists and the welfare of the planet.
If they’re taking tips from Google, why would they get better?
All of them?
Much like everytime you see “nothing burger”
I usually take the chess/checkers idiom to be more like “the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing” Not that one is smart and one is dumb, but that they’re going in completely different directions and playing by different rules.
I’m going to guess all the ones of women have bolt on tiddies and no pubic hair.
I just spent way too long looking for that Movie 43 clip of “don’t fuck it” but it seems wiped from the internet.
They should just burn all the waste. It works for spacex and starlink.
I was going to say that. 304 is the cheap “marine grade” sold at the hardware store that will rust. 316 is sold at the Chandelry and won’t rust.
To put it another way, 304 is freshwater stainless, 316 is ocean grade.
They won’t be applying the coating to the back side of the panels…
Forming it screws it up too. Work hardening after forging can make it magnetic.
And ego.
So then it’s genius marketing. Stainless absolutely stains and rusts.
I would argue hubris.
Stainless can go goofy after working it. Work hardening can even make stainless magnetic. Sorry, I don’t know the physics of why.
Absolutely. Why would they call it less if it’s actually never? That would be exceptionally terrible marketing.
The answer is in the name. It’s stainless not stainproof
And now we’re in the “is burning up thousands of satellites bad?” phase of space exploration. I’ll be waiting for spacex to do the right thing.
