“How to win friends and influence people” is a great book. I can also recommend How to Talk to Anyone: “92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships” by Leil Lowndes

Reading books about how to behave in social settings was very effective in reducing my social anxiety

When I was in school the teacher’s were seizing the phone if they caught you with it in class and sometimes require your parents to pick it up after school
Having multiple romantic relationships at the same time sounds very stressful to me
How can I look for what a specific user got banned (wihtout searching the entire history) ?
Is there rep farming on lemmy?
I thought that Karma or total up/down vote accounts are not a thing here?

1·16 days agoI had problems with eye contact for a long time, but for some reason it stopped being a problem arround the age of 15-16 and when I read in a social skills book’s (yes I need manuals for social interactions) that eye contact is important, I started to force my self into eye contact.
Maybe this has also something to do with people telling me that they find my eyes beautiful, but I don’t know

I only fully trust licenses that use wording like: "All rights granted under this License are granted for the term of copyright on the Program, and are irrevocable provided the stated conditions are met. " (from GPLv3) “Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.” (from ApacheV2)
I am probably one of the people that need to be forced to socialize because I don’t do it by my self enough
I think schools should give more control to the students about what and how they want to learn, I always hated it that they forced me to learn things I am not interested in and will probably never use in my life
Masturbation makes me very tired after I done it, so I don’t think I should do it when I still have something to do in the day.
But right before bedtime, it helps to get sleepier
Not for a single task but for an activity or a chain of activities that rely on each other and only make sense when I do them all after each other.
The biggest example of such a big activity chain in my life would be going to the gym: where the entire chain of activities (from getting ready for the Gym to coming home and showering after it) takes almost the whole day and if I know that I can’t just do it for 5 minutes.
It looks like most of these are not therapy services
It don’t have to be an app, I ask for online therapy in general
Yes, it would be much for fun in the long run. But for some reason this doesn’t change my behavior and I hate my self for this
I would like to have a god one day, but as long as I can’t even take care of my self, I don’t want a pet to be dependent on me taking care of it.
