I work with AI every day at my job. My buddy is a literal AI researcher and we hobby-build together too.
I’m not concerned with what you think is “objective truth” when you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Yes this is an argument in my favor, you just don’t understand AI/LLMs enough to know why.
That’s certainly an opinion you have
the people stealing data
No one is doing this
Output doesn’t matter since it’s pretty well settled it’s not derivative work
Cool, discussion over.
I agree. For instance, it should be secured in law that you can train AI on anything, to avoid frivolous discussions like this.
Output is what should be moderated by law.
If it’s not a violation of copyright then this is a non-issue. You don’t need permission to read books.
at their expense
How?
Why do you have free reign to do the same?
AIs don’t learn as a human would, and comparisons can’t be made between the learning processes.
I think you’re going to have a hard time proving a financial distinction between them
There’s a third solution you’re overlooking.
3: OpenAI (or other) wins a judgment that AI content is not inherently a violation of copyright regardless of materials it is trained upon.
Interstellar is a terrible movie that doesn’t say or do anything special and I still don’t understand why anyone thinks it’s so amazing.
I did really like the robot guy though.
Also the CEO makes $400k if anyone just wanted that information. I had to listen to 60% of that dudes video to get to that point.
This doesn’t seem insane to me. It’s high for the average joe, but it’s not competitive at all with other big tech CEO total comp.
Considering the already existing issues with inactive implants, maybe electronics shouldn’t be allowed in implants until they can demonstrate reliability.
if someone is willing to pay $150k to see blurry grey dots I don’t see how it’s anyone’s business but there’s to ban that.
This is a pretty wild take you’re making here. You’re essentially telling anyone who has received a deep-brain implant for Parkinson’s to go kick rocks.
Epic never sued for monetary damages; it wants the court to tell Google that every app developer has total freedom to introduce its own app stores and its own billing systems on Android
This seems like a poor choice instead of monetary damages. I have the Epic Games Launcher free game downloader for games I forget I own. I’m very unlikely to start using Epic’s services over Google’s.
I’d have taken the money and run
They declared war against the government of Palestine, Hamas. There is effectively no difference
Israel formally declared war on Palestine.
People who sell things that are in high demand and necessary for survival generally are not in the practice of denying people access to those things.
I know more about advertising than you do man, sorry
So you want to constantly be a slave to your consumerist impulses as you uncritically consume everything thrown at you,
Holy shit dude what happens to you when you see an ad??
I find this so weird. Like, I want the exact literal opposite of what you want - I want personalized ads about shit I might conceivably click on.
I want usable personalized internet that knows where I am and offers me local deals and hotspots.
The hell are you so afraid of? Honestly?
My entire premise hinges on the fact that these papers agree with me.
