I can only assume it’s awesome to work there because every worker badge I see says they’ve been there since the aughts.

I regularly fail the “spend less than $200 at Costco” challenge. It’s mostly groceries though. Except the collapsable chair with a sun shade and knockoff nerf bows, but those kicked ass so still no regrets.
Helicopters bludgeon the air into submission and fly by sheer violence.
At least, that’s the fun way to imagine it until you have to think about how gyrocopters work. Then it’s back to being magic.
when you say ‘British accent’ that means basically nothing to anyone in the UK.
Yeah, you have to say “Bri’ish” or they won’t understand you.
I felt like the main character at the end of an action movie. I showered and went to sleep.
"What if we had a system where people could get the assistance they need. We could call it… Communityism.
Anyone else experience stress time dilation? I’ll wake up at 2:30 because some bullshit I don’t wanna do tomorrow, go back to sleep for like 30 minutes, wake up and it’s 2:32. I’ve managed 3 decent dreams in the space of 10 minutes before.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there any way to disassemble this bite valve?
6·9 days agoI’m not familiar with this one specifically, but the valve I have comes apart just above the twist part. It took some force but there was no mechanism keeping it on. You might want to see if you can find a manual from the manufacturer as well.

Thought you stole my stupid rug for a moment before I noticed she didn’t have gloves.

Fuuuuuck I need to hunt another one down. We had one in a mall and concessions and tickets were cheap as hell. The mall was DEAD though, like 5 stores left even open anymore, so they closed too.

Well I wasn’t planning on shotgunning a redbull but here we are.
Which book?
I said numbers. The book of numbers.
[19] God is not a human being, that he should lie, or a mortal, that he should change his mind. Has he promised, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
And as you pointed out, God does not do everything he says, meaning he either changes his mind (which the inspired word of gawd says he does not) or he lies to people (which is evidently contrary to his nature). Go ahead and read the rest if you want, verse 16 makes it explicit that God actually spoke these words directly to balaam.
I mean if you want to agree God can change his mind that entails that he can’t possibly be all-knowing. Changing your mind generally requires new information that you didn’t know before. But that’s irrelevant because numbers 23:19 and 1 Samuel 15:29 both say God can’t change his mind.
In the context of a group of camel herders assigning human characteristics to a deity to make it more understandable, it lines up perfectly. In the context of an almighty God handing down his Word to humans, it’s contradictory.
On a less serious note, if we’re made in his image, does he have a dick n balls? If so, what for?

Earth was actually created last Thursday.
