My understanding is that such forces have been comparatively insignificant in your country, but “comparatively insignificant” probably says more about how things are here than anything else.

I’m right there with you, but there are many ways to prepare without resorting to participating. I think the mental preparation is the key, because it’s tough to stay home on election day when doing so is akin to putting the barrel against your own head.

USA operates the exact opposite of this. We use the government to do the big things that aren’t/won’t be profitable immediately to set things up for big business to rake in all the benefits later by building their businesses on that foundation. Of course, all those business owners “did it on their own,” neverminding the fact that the ground they walk on only exists because of everyone else.
They are also too cowardly to live freely, so they end up hating actual freedom and those that enjoy it because they hate themselves for allowing their freedom to be robbed by their ideology.
They are literally brainwashed. I do not know what the solution to that is.
