  • Although I fully agree with keeping it simple like that and I would state to anyone that this is basically correct, there are some technical differences between a ‘normal’ LED and QLEDs. And then there’s also Quantum Dot OLEDs which applies this ‘quantum’ (marketing term) layer to an OLED screen.

So in short, yeah they’re different but it’s indeed mostly marketing.

  • It really depends on the type of shock but say anaphylaxis causes blood vessels to dilate, resulting in lower blood pressure. A lower blood pressure will eventually lead to not enough blood reaching vital organs in time which is bad for you.

Shock is a medical term used to describe any hindrance of regular blood flow. It’s not the same as being ‘shocked’, like if something traumatic happened to you.

  • I used to wear jeans only and I pretty much hated it. I now wear those mildly stretchy pants that normally go under suits. On top, I wear polo’s when the setting is semi formal. I try to find the ones that are loosely fitting because I’m kinda self conscious about wearing stuff that’s too short or tight.

Idk where you are located but for me, www.wefashion.nl has what I need. You could have a look, even if you’re not in the Netherlands. Maybe you’ll find a similar store in your area that also deals in large sizes like that. I’m close to 2m tall and I kind of have a beer belly but narrow shoulders so only XL really works for me.

  • Not that I have a horse in this fight, but how many migrants don’t pass these border guards and live in houses completely undocumented and unbeknownst to the US government? It’s difficult to get stats on things you don’t know.

In any event, nobody is illegal and there is no world where any kind of violence or threatening of livelihood is warranted.

We have two at the two major ingresses of Groningen. The thing with P+R is that they really only take away the traffic from visitors. People who work in the city will still take their car, people who live there will never use it.

The municipality is working hard to get rid of cars in the city which I can only applaud. You’ll still need your car to go to Ikea and the like but the infrastructure for that is great. As long as you stay away from the center you can pretty much manage by car.

Now, Groningen is still pretty much a walkable city. I think Hamburg is something like ten times its size, yet last time I was there we still walked a huge chunk over there. If I compare it to, for instance, Amsterdam, which is still smaller but closer to the size of Hamburg, you just take a tram anywhere and you’ll get to wherever you need to be.

City centers in Europe have no need for cars.
