The nice thing about science is that it can reevaluate studies, correct mistakes, make new discoveries… Science-based medicine is not and will never be perfect, but has the potential to get better and better. Methods not proven by science to be beneficial are not trustworthy, and it doesn’t matter whether they’re viewed as part of mainstream or alternative medicine.

Chiropractors still use the ghost-taught tricks. Doctors moved on to use scientifically proven practices. They are not the same.

Not every woman’s cycle is completely regular though - counting days is good for better chances of having a child, but it’s unreliable if you don’t want one. So I’d say OP should take plan B anyway.

I’m not sure the object’s particles are the observable parts though. When a photon bumps into your table and then into your eye, allowing you to see the table, does it bump directly into the table particles, or does it interact with the particles’ field?

Self image has been destroyed by both social and classic media under any regime - I’m pre-social media and my self image was just as bad. But yeah, I agree that social media carry the torch now.

Me too, but it’s not the only thing in life I like doing. I’d love to have more time to spend with my family, more time to do music, to do hikes in nature, more time to devote to theatre, to play with my cats, to learn languages, to do sports, more time to meet my friends and other nice people, more time to learn math, physics, anthropology and etymology… I don’t have it. I have some limited time that I can give to gardening and very limited space (a large balcony).

I’d love to live several lives, alas, I have just this one and have to divide my time and prioritize. If you’ve seen Everything everywhere all at once - that’s a film that resonated with me greatly.

It’s not my field of study. All I can give you is my experience. Feel free to find some yourself though, if you’re interested enough.
