that sounds like an undercount to me

I bought a pair of Edifier powered bookshelf speakers (R1280T model, I think) for my living room setup and they work fine for casual TV and movie watching. Cost about $110 total. No subwoofer necessary, but I would add one if I had movie nights with more than just me and my partner (and didn’t have downstairs neighbors, lol).

Funny how bipartisanship is all of a sudden a thing when the empire needs to feed the war & suffering machine. But when it comes to providing healthcare, housing, basic needs like food and utilities, or civil rights protections to the people, they just can’t seem to come to an agreement.
Well, I guess the dems do seem to always supply a few of their own to stand with republicans on those topics, which is just a more subtle form of bipartisanship if you think about it.

Huh, will be interested to try this and see what changes they implemented to ‘modernize’ it. I used to mod the hell out of Civ3 back in the day, but I also remember the base game being pretty solid.

It’s about time the ‘average American’ started questioning what the fuck this system is doing. Many of us have only been trying to show them how messed up it is for the past 250 years or so.
Seriously though, it really is way more tense than I have ever seen it. The kinds of political conversations I am having with neighbors and coworkers are ones that I never would’ve imagined being able to have even 5 years ago.

After they ban all of the direct, existing investments in Israel, then yes, that would be a next move I would support. Hell, if they just sold (or threatened to sell) a large portion of the US Treasury bonds they hold, I imagine China could really put the screws on both imperialist, settler-colonial projects.
I am not knowledgeable enough to know what the full ripple effects of such a sell off would be, but I imagine China would prefer to coordinate something like that (or wide-reaching sanctions) with other countries, rather than moving unilaterally. But Ra knows the US deserves to be sanctioned into the ground for their actions on the international stage.

it’s about time. they could do more, but it’s a start.

Go on then, git!!

If a rabid pit bull was out in the streets attacking the elderly and children, ripping their faces off, you’d be telling everyone to just stay back and make soothing sounds, or offer it a treat, rather than trying to stop it before it does more damage. Self-reflect a little bit and do better next time.

This poor man and his family. They just straight up murdered him.
USian liberals clinging to the hope that the ‘rule of law’ will prevail need to wake the fuck up. Just because it protected your (likely lily-white) ass in the past, that time is over. They’re coming for EVERYONE that opposes this shit, not just indigenous, black, and brown folk. We were never protected by the system in the first place, so this is unfortunately nothing new to us.

There he goes, being a Democrat.

Much love to my ML comrades in the BPP. Will be interesting to see if the YLO, AIM, or other groups from the Rainbow Coalition experience a similar revival or are simply reincarnated in spiritual successor groups. Either way, now’s the time.

It won’t hurt them though, not when they get that bailout money from public funds so that only we have to suffer the consequences of their actions.

Surprised to not see Slotkin on here. Were the weapons labeled with the words ‘for offense only’ written in sharpie or something, so she could convince herself to do the right thing?

They interact with the people they represent, often on a golf course. It’s just that those people aren’t you and me.

What can we realistically expect from this group?
It would be great if they could at least sanction Israel and the US in addition to what some of these states are already doing unilaterally, but short of blocking any further shipping of arms (many of these countries are positioned on or near key straits in the region, I guess) what else can they do other than direct conflict or more performative decrees from the same neoliberal-dominated institutions that are currently failing us?

“We will do everything in our power” = watch out, we each have a ‘vote’ and aren’t afraid to use it!
Lmao, all these electoralist jokers are cooked. What a weak ass letter. Their votes never meant shit (and it sure as hell didn’t make any Dems or Repubs less genocidal), not when this whole imperial project is run by corporations and the MIC, yet they still can’t seem to think outside the ballot box.
Nice image! I was caught off-guard last night and just got a blurry pic from my phone.
“Divided”, lmao. Every tribe in that article was like ‘fuck the United States, they continue to try and erase us and our histories’. The only differences were in whether or not a tribe was going to try and use this year’s events as a chance to educate people on those histories.
For real though, it is plain to people from every tribe, even the ones that once sided with the US Army at one point or another, that the US has been the most brutal settler-colonial project in history and that any treaty or deal signed with the white supremacist government isn’t even worth wiping your ass with, much less putting your trust in it.
