The perfect microwave would have +30s, +10s, +5s, +1m, +5m, and a stop/clear button. Nothing else really needed. No clock, no power levels, no food buttons. Oh, and no cooldown at the end.

4·1 day agoI agree with all your points. Just wanted to add that for bicycling, the OsmAnd app is superior to Google Maps, simply because the Google Map app doesn’t honor modified routes.
On the desktop, Google Maps lets you map bicycle directions, but they’re dangerously bad. Dangerous routes when it could have preferred a bike route or greenway, not understanding that sometimes you have to become a pedestrian for a few feet and use a crosswalk, or cross a patch of dirt, etc. And you have to force it into a safer route by adding the “drag to change route” dots and dragging them to the roads it should have used. However, if you share that route URL with the Google Maps app, it ignores all the changes and reverts to the bad route.
So instead I have to put that URL into GPS Visualizer and convert it to a GPX which OsmAnd honors. There are other GPX conversion websites too, but I’ve noticed subtle changes to my route when I was using those other sites.
All this could be avoided if the Google Maps app would just honor the desktop URLs, but it’s been this way for years so I doubt it will ever happen.
EDIT: fixed the link

81·2 days agoModern Libertarians are anti-LGBT and have completely lost their way. They hated their own 2024 presidential candidate Chase Oliver so much for being gay that there was an attempt by many in the party to replace him with Trump, and there were letters pleading for party members to vote for him despite him being gay. It was all super lame and I left. Libertarians used to be at the forefront of individuality and personal liberties, but not anymore. The official website might claim otherwise, but that’s just PR.

Yep, that’s definitely the thought process the question-asker intended. I’m sidestepping that slightly: if an answer is chosen completely at random then one should be able to completely ignore the text of the question and answer, and roll a four-sided die, leading to 25%. I agree that strategy assumes that there’s a single correct answer. And the typical expectation of a multiple choice question is to only have a single correct answer. The question itself says “the answer” not “answer(s)”, that’s perhaps a partial support of the expectation of a single correct answer. But yes, my assumption that there’s only a single correct answer, while reasonable in general, could be considered flawed considering the nature of the question itself.
Going with D. It’d be 25% for a normal question, but since it’s the second 25% this provides some evidence that I read all the answers.

1·8 days agoMultiple straw man arguments and baseless accusations in your response, unfortunately. To set the record straight: I am constantly looking out for debris, obstacles and other people sharing the routes I’m on and adjust my speed according to the situation to maintain a safe environment for all. I spend a lot of time planning out routes to improve the safety of my ride. I didn’t request any arbitrary restrictions, computerized or otherwise, or even request any laws. I also did not state that I “shoot off at 28 mph if the shared path is empty”. It’s up to me and all of us to follow the law and ride safely.
Also have a torque sensor. I ride mainly for exercise so I stay in minimum pedal assist or even turn off assist sometimes.
I do not use my throttle at all and removed it. I had hit it accidentally a couple times, and simply by preemptively downshifting I could accelerate faster from a stop without the throttle than with it. So I found my throttle entirely useless, or even potentially dangerous due to the accidental taps of it, and removed it. When it was installed it would accelerate the bike up to 20 mph even in class 3 mode, which might have been a violation. The way I read it the throttle should have been completely disabled in class 3 mode.
Your bike software indeed sounds very scary and I’m glad that mine does not have the ability to impose such restrictions. If I felt that my bike’s software was putting me in danger then I’d sell it and get something else. But that’s just me.
